Extreme Sailing Series - Day 4, Sète

Yann Guichard and his Groupe Edmond de Rothschild crew proved unstoppable today as they claimed the first round of the 2010 Extreme Sailing Series, in Sète.
The Mistral conditions kicked in bringing an early conclusion to the day’s races, but not before the crowds had been truly entertained. Second place on the podium went to Loick Peyron on Oman Sail Masirah, ahead of Paul Campbell-James’ The Wave, Muscat. Team GAC Pindar finished eighth.
Over the last four days, an estimated 16,500 spectators have been following the Extreme 40, action from the headland and beaches, in Sète.
Round 2 of the 2010 Extreme Sailing Series takes place in the UK during Cowes Week between 31st July and 5th August.

Newly crowned Match Racing World champion Ian Williams and Team GAC Pindar have arrived in Singapore for Act 9 of the Extreme Sailing Series. The new, all-British crew are looking to climb the standings as they compete in the finale of the 2011 calendar in Marina Bay.
