Former Double ISAF World Match Racing Champion, Ian Williams, heads to the Korea Match Cup this week with his Team GAC Pindar crew, for Stage 3 of the 2010 World Match Racing Tour.

Leading independent sailing company, Team Pindar, has joined forces with Dubai-based global logistics provider GAC, to form a ‘Team GAC Pindar’ entry in this year’s European Extreme Sailing Series, which begins in Sète, Southern France on 27 May, 2010.

After dominating the World Match Racing Tour for the past two years, Double World Champion Ian Williams and his Team Pindar crew had to settle for sixth place on the 2009 Tour.

Team Pindar’s reigning Double ISAF World Match Racing Champion, Ian Williams, finished third at the Argo Gold Cup in Bermuda this weekend, a result which sees him climb from fifth to third overall in the standings with just one event remaining.

Team Pindar’s Ian Williams has got off to a strong start at the Argo Group Gold Cup in Bermuda. Six wins and just one defeat in the round robin stage have guaranteed him a place in the quarter-finals tomorrow, keeping his world title hopes alive.
