Andrew Pindar receives OBE at Buckingham Palace
Andrew Pindar, Chairman of international printing and visual communications company, Pindar and leading independent sailing team, ‘Bahrain Team Pindar’ was today honoured by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales at an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace. Andrew was awarded an OBE, (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in recognition of his services to business and to community in the United Kingdom.
Second for Bahrain Team Pindar at Korea Match Cup
Bahrain Team Pindar’s double World Match Racing Champion Ian Williams finished runner-up to Italy’s Paolo Cian (Team Shosholoza) at the Korea Match Cup Final held at Jeongok Marina today. The result means that Williams and his crew move to fourth in the tour standings, after the third event on the 2009 World Match Racing Tour.
Bahrain Team Pindar compete in Korea Match Cup
In an intense fortnight on the World Match Racing Tour, double World Match Racing Champion Ian Williams and his Bahrain Team Pindar crew are competing in the third event of the year, the Korea Match Cup, held at Jeongok Marina from June 3-7.
Ian Williams begins pursuit of Match Race Germany title
The second event on the 2009 World Match Racing Tour, Match Race Germany begins today. Twelve teams, including Ian Williams and his Bahrain Team Pindar crew will compete on Lake Constance, Langenargen for a share of the US$50,000 prize money and valuable points to boost their ISAF world ranking.
Bahrain Team Pindar enjoy action packed week in the Kingdom
Bahrain Team Pindar sailors, Brian Thompson and Ian Williams have spent the last week in the Kingdom of Bahrain, attending both the inaugural Bahrain Boat Show International and the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.

2009 World Match Racing Tour draws to a close

After dominating the World Match Racing Tour for the past two years, Double World Champion Ian Williams and his Team Pindar crew had to settle for sixth place on the 2009 Tour.
