Team Pindar’s World Match Racing Champion, Ian Williams begins his pursuit for the Troia Portugal Match Cup tomorrow, boosted by the news that he has been nominated for the prestigious ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Award. Ian received his nomination for his achievements on the 2007 World Match Racing Tour and continued performance throughout 2008.

The Pindar Radii sailing team have become European Champions of the 18ft Skiff class circuit after winning the final round during the three-day final event at Lake Como, Italy.

Team Pindar’s Ian Williams yesterday claimed his first victory of the 2008 World Match Racing Tour, with a convincing 3-0 win over Sebastian Col (French Match Racing Team/K-Challenge) in the final of the Danish Open in Frederikshavn. 

Defending World Match Racing Champion, Ian Williams (Team Pindar), claimed second place at the St Moritz Match Race this weekend, further extending Team Pindar’s lead on the 2008 World Match Racing Tour.
