Kenya recycles plastic waste into bricks that are stronger than concrete

Nzambi Matee of Nairobi, Kenya, is throwing bricks on the pavement of a school made from recycled plastic made in her factory.

"Our product is almost five to seven times stronger than concrete," says Matee, founder of Gjenge Makers, a Nairobi-based company that converts plastic waste into durable building materials. "They can\'t handle garbage anymore; They can\'t recycle.
